Sustainability & CSR

Like many companies, we have always worked hard to be “green” while remaining operationally practical. Internally we have a recycling program and all our paper waste is recycled;

In 2019, we recycled 1,848 pounds of paper and saved 15.71 trees.

In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint we recently changed out all of our office lighting for smart lighting that only activates when there are people in the particular area of the office. These lights are also daylight sensitive to change with the day and provide the best and most efficient possible light for our team.

We purchase all of our event materials with a plan for what we will do with those materials post-event. Some elements are rentals, while others are “disposable”. We have donation relationships set up where left-over or used event supplies go to a variety of organizations depending on the items. We have a relationship with the Women’s Lunch Place, the Boston Mission, the Salvation Army, and a handful of local schools. We also work with an organization that ships elements to Haiti on a quarterly basis for families in need there.

We always work through local partners in cities around the world to identify organizations that would benefit from elements and materials that would otherwise be thrown away.

We have partnerships with a few places that will take left-over food as well as floral arrangements. We coordinate these efforts in advance of the event, and we work hard to waste as little as possible.
